Copyright Policy
We believe in original work. Here is how we protect yours — and others'.
Last updated: June 2025
1. Your Work is Yours
Every poem you publish on Sulyse Verse remains your intellectual property. We do not claim ownership over your creative work. Your copyright exists from the moment you create an original work, and publishing it here does not change that.
2. License Granted to Sulyse Verse
By publishing a poem on the Platform, you grant Sulyse Verse a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that work solely for the purposes of operating the Platform and promoting it (e.g. featuring a poem in a social media post or newsletter). This license does not allow us to sell your work or license it to third parties without your consent.
3. Revoking the License
You may revoke this license at any time by deleting the poem from the Platform or by closing your account. Upon deletion, we will remove the work from public view within a reasonable timeframe, though cached copies may briefly persist.
4. Copyright Infringement Claims (DMCA)
If you believe your copyrighted work has been reproduced on Sulyse Verse without authorisation, please contact us at legal@sulyseverse.com with the following information: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (b) identification of the material on the Platform that you believe infringes your work and its location; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner; and (e) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
5. Counter-Notices
If you believe content was removed as a result of an error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to legal@sulyseverse.com. We will review all counter-notices in good faith.
6. Repeat Infringers
Users who repeatedly post content that infringes copyright will have their accounts terminated. We take intellectual property seriously because our entire community is built on the value of original creative work.
7. Quotation and Fair Use
Brief quotation of another author's work for the purposes of commentary, criticism, or educational discussion is generally permitted under fair use principles. Always attribute quoted material clearly. When in doubt, write to us before posting.
8. Contact
For all copyright matters, please contact legal@sulyseverse.com. We aim to respond to all copyright enquiries within 5 business days.
